From Cartagena, we take you on an exclusive journey to the Rosario Islands and the Barú Peninsula, where serenity and privacy are our top priorities. Relax on white sandy beaches and crystal-clear waters, sail on our private boats, and enjoy the natural beauty of the Colombian Caribbean.
In the waters of the Colombian Caribbean Sea there is a coral paradise of turquoise waters, islets, lagoons, marshes and a peninsula known for its white sand beaches.
These are Los Corales del Rosario and San Bernardo National Natural Parks. It is located south of Cartagena, on the Barú Peninsula and extends to the north of Santiago de Tolú, a city in the department of Sucre.
Within this coral paradise the possibilities are endless. This Natural Park is a small version of the entire Caribbean; from Punta Ganillas, in the Guajira, the northernmost point of Colombia, to Cuba or the Dominican Republic.
The Rosario Islands archipelago, for example, is made up of 28 islands that hide the largest, most beautiful and important set of reefs for Colombia’s biosystem.
One of the most outstanding activities in this area is scuba diving, an adventure that takes tourists and locals to find the shapes, textures and colors that only exist under the sea. On the surface, nature imposes itself with mangrove forests and lagoons that can be visited guided by natives.
On St. Martin Island it is possible to have an intimate encounter with maritime life. The Oceanarium, the aquarium with the largest number of species in the country, operates here. In addition to being an attraction for nature lovers, this institution helps conserve the area’s ecosystem.
