Upon arrival, the cozy Clubhouse emerges next to the Peninsula’s sea. From its second floor, you can contemplate the beauty of the landscape and the surrounding mangrove ecosystem, while further up, from the top of the hill, Agua Baru offers a wonderful panoramic view of the Cienaga de Cholon.
In the center of Las Casas is located our Restaurant, with its signature cuisine, original and creative dishes, impregnated with the unmistakable stamp of our talented Chef.
History
Barú Island, a place steeped in centuries of history and deeply connected to nature. Originally inhabited by indigenous communities, it was the setting for significant events during the colonial era, as its waters became strategic routes for Spanish galleons. The island is rich in biodiversity and is part of the Rosario and San Bernardo Corals National Natural Park, a unique ecosystem that protects mangroves, coral reefs, and a wide variety of marine species.
Today, Barú blends its historical legacy with the serenity of its surroundings, offering a perfect retreat for those seeking to immerse themselves in the beauty of the Colombian Caribbean. Experience the tranquility of our Clubhouse, where nature and design come together to create an unforgettable experience. This space is perfect for both guests and visitors, offering exquisite signature cuisine in our restaurant beneath an impressive guadua roof designed by renowned Colombian architect Simón Vélez. On the first level, the bar, sun loungers, and deck with direct access to the sea invite you to enjoy the breeze and charm of the Caribbean. Meanwhile, water sports enthusiasts can explore the serene waters of the Ciénaga de Cholón.

At the top of the hill, among the houses, is the AGUA BARU Restaurant.
Here, you will enjoy an exceptional culinary experience that blends seamlessly with its surroundings. Our talented Chef brings to life a signature cuisine, presenting exclusive and creative dishes that bear the unmistakable Mustique stamp.
Boutique
Next to the Origen restaurant is our Artisan Shop, a space dedicated to celebrating local talent and the cultural identity of Barú. Here, you’ll find the creations of Tesoro Barulero, a collective of over 20 women artisans who craft unique pieces inspired by the colors and shapes of their surroundings: fish, fruits, and mangroves. These women not only capture the essence of their land in every design but also generate income for their families through their work.
The development of their skills has been made possible thanks to the support of the Somos Barú Association and the design and artisanal technique workshops led by Liana Creativa. United by a shared vision, these artisans work with enthusiasm and determination to share the essence of Barú through their products.
In addition, our shop supports local and national entrepreneurs, offering a selection of Colombian brands specializing in fresh and sophisticated clothing, perfect for the warm Caribbean climate.
