History

The streets of the historic center of Cartagena de Indias keep in their names something unique: they are impregnated with stories and legends that have passed from generation to generation.

Our exclusive hotel, located on Estanco del Tabaco Street, has a remarkable link with the past. During colonial times, this street was the site of the old tobacco trade, which in those days was the exclusive privilege of the Spaniards.

As a tribute, the logo of our Hotel Casa de la Renta is a tobacco leaf that symbolizes that commercial activity of the time.
